Would you feel confident to respond and act in an emergency at home with your little ones? Or is your little one starting solids and you're feeling a little anxious about choking hazards and what to do if anything were to ever happen?
We know the feeling and know how important it is for children to have a calm, reassuring carer in any kind of emergency!
To help you out and give you that extra bit of confidence while caring for children, we are hosting a Baby Safety Social where you will learn the essential skills to respond in a child related emergency through a 2 hour first aid informational session (including hands on practice with an infant CPR manikin) run by Paul Rainbird, a trained and qualified professional in this field and founder of The First Three Minutes!
PLUS, First Steps Baby Proofing, our wonderful co-hosts, will be starting off the day with their newly developed Baby Safety and Proofing Workshop to step you through all of the essential tips and tricks to creating a safe home environment for your little one. They are Sydney's original and most trusted baby proofing service and have over a decade of experience in this field. They've also kindly offered to perform FREE car seat safety checks after the session!
Not only that, but you will also have the opportunity to meet with other parents in the community over nibbles and drinks before and after your session.

To limit distraction during the session, there will be a supervised play area with activities and toys just outside the room (you can still peep through the window and see them) for those who wish to bring their children. Infants (<1yrs) are more than welcome to sit with you during the session.
Each ticket purchase will also come with a goodie bag valued at over $50, as well as a First Steps safety pack with educational resources and room by room baby safety checklists.
Event schedule:
- 8:30am: Doors open + nibbles and drinks provided
- 9am - 9:30am: Baby Safety and Proofing Workshop
- 9:30am - 11:30am: Baby and Children First Aid session
- 11:30am - 1:30pm: Nibbles, champagne and socialising + Calf & Crew market stall with special discounts for ticket holders + First Steps car seat safety checks
Single tickets will cost $90 and includes the goodie bag, First Steps safety pack and use of a CPR manikin during the session. You can also add on an extra person to attend with you and share your manikin during the session for $45!
